The audio and video are in Spanish. These notes are a translation.

In this episode, we analyze the investment thesis in Clip. For this, we are launching a new interview format called Investment Thesis, where we analyze some of the best startup investments in Latin America together with the venture capital funds that invested in the early rounds.

Today we have Diego Serebrisky, partner and cofounder of Dalus Capital, who led Clip’s Series A, the leading fintech solution so that SMEs can receive electronic payments in Mexico.

Recently, Clip became one of the new Mexican unicorns with a valuation of USD $2 billion and has raised about USD $400 million from venture capital funds such as Softbank and General Atlantic.

Diego told us how he met Clip’s founding team, how he made the decision to invest even though it operated in such a regulated and concentrated market, and how he sees the company’s future.

If you like the podcast, could you consider leaving a short review on Apple Podcasts / iTunes? It takes less than 1 minute and helps us a great deal in convincing the hardest guests to land. For example, we would love to interview David Velez, CEO and founder of Nubank. It is also a great tool for you to give us feedback, and to suggest guests or topics for upcoming episodes. We love reading your reviews! You can see how to leave one here.
