The audio and video are in Spanish. These notes are a translation.

Our guest today, Myriam Cosío, left her role as vice president at American Express in 2015 to join a “tiny” startup called Clip.

Today, Clip is a unicorn and one of the most important fintechs in Mexico.

Myriam, for her part, went on to become COO and a member of the board of directors.

Today Myriam gave us a master class on how to choose the right startup to join and how to take advantage of that experience to accelerate your career. We also talked about creating processes, recruiting, and the role of the COO in solving the challenges of scaling a company in hypergrowth.

To date, Clip has raised more than USD $300 M from investment funds such as Softbank, General Atlantic, and Dalus Capital.
